Are you ready to learn to fly in the beautiful state of Alaska? There's no better place to take to the skies and experience the thrill of flying for yourself.

The first step in learning to fly in Alaska is finding a reputable flight school. Look for schools that are accredited and have experienced instructors. It's also a good idea to speak with current or former students to get a feel for the quality of the training.

Next, consider the type of aircraft you want to learn to fly. Alaska offers a variety of landscapes, from mountainous terrain to vast stretches of wilderness, so it's important to choose an aircraft that is well-suited to the type of flying you want to do.

Once you've selected a flight school and aircraft, it's time to start your training. This will typically involve a combination of ground school, where you'll learn the principles of flight and aircraft systems, and actual flight time, where you'll get the opportunity to practice what you've learned in the air.

Learning to fly in Alaska can be a challenging and rewarding experience. Not only will you learn a new skill, but you'll also have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Last Frontier from the air. So why wait? Start your journey to becoming a pilot in Alaska today!

Looking for a Kodiak Alaska Private Pilot Ground School? Look no further.

We've partnered with Rod Machado, one of the world's most well-known flight instructors, to offer an interactive online private pilot ground school!  The advantages of this ground school are numerous:
  • Learn from the comfort of your own home in Kodiak Alaska! No need to worry about blizzards or commuting to a classroom in Kodiak. This also satisfies any COVID-related social distancing guidance.
  • This course is extremely affordable compared to other ground school courses
  • 40+ hours of Interactive video lessons covering everything from aircraft systems to weather to regulations, and everything in between.
  • The course currently includes complimentary downloads of 4 of Rod Machado's Private Pilot ebooks
  • This course is available to you for life, and will always be updated with the most up-to-date information. Great for review!
  • Receive your FAA written knowledge test endorsement upon completion! This is an endorsement that is required in order for you to take the written knowledge test. This course will provide you with the endorsement.
  • Learn at your own pace, anytime of day or night, from anywhere in the world (not just Kodiak!), and re-visit topics that are still troubling you. Ultimate convenience!

Our Kodiak Alaska private pilot ground school course is highly animated, interactive, and is one of the most comprehensive, private pilot ground training programs on the market today. Its 26-course modules span 40-hours of highly educational, fun and interactive aviation ground training. The depth of material covered in this course is what you'd find in your traditional single-semester, college aviation ground school, at a fraction of the cost.

Included at the end of each lesson are FAA-like knowledge questions to reinforce what you've learned. Compared to nearly every course I have tried, this is the most fun and enjoyable course to study. No more reading dry, stale, study material when you can learn in an enjoyable, interactive manner. At the end of this course, you'll be provided with a graduation certificate and endorsement to take the private pilot knowledge exam.

Here is the real kicker, and why this particular Kodiak Alaska private pilot ground school course is recommended: Most ground school courses focus solely on preparing you to pass the written knowledge exam only, similar to those SAT or ACT-prep courses used by high school students to pass a standardized test. The knowledge you gain from most other ground school courses is is to be applied to answering a 60-question multiple choice test, but its not very practical or usable knowledge. This Kodiak
Alaska private pilot ground school course is different: it provides an all-encompassing, fully comprehensive ground school that will not only prepare you to pass the written knowledge test, but it will help you LEARN material that you will actually use in the cockpit. This can replace, or at least minimize those expensive, $50 per hour ground sessions with your CFI, saving you money that you can then use to actually fly.

Here's just a tiny sampling of the topic-tiles found in this course.
  • Aerodynamics: The Wing is the Thing (3.9 Hrs)
  • Engines: Knowledge of Engines Is Power (3.45 Hrs)
  • Electrical Systems: Knowing What’s Watt (.5 Hrs)
  • Flight Instruments: Clocks, Tops & Toys (2.5 Hrs)
  • Federal Aviation Regulations: How FAR Can We Go? (4.6 Hrs)
  • Airport Operations: No Doctor Needed (2.45 Hrs)
  • Radio Operations: Aviation Spoken Here (1.4 Hrs)
  • Airspace: The Wild Blue, Green and Red Yonder (3.5 Hrs)
  • Aviation Maps: The Art of the Chart (.85 Hrs)
  • Radio Navigation: The Frequency Flyer Program (1.9 Hrs)
  • Understanding Weather: Looking for Friendly Skies (5.8 Hrs)
  • Weather Charts and Briefings: PIREPS, Progs and METARS (3.1 Hrs)
  • Flight Planning: Getting There From Here (3.2 Hrs)
  • Airplane Performance Charts: Know Before You Go (1.7 Hrs)
  • Weight and Balance: Let’s Wait and Balance (1.4 Hrs)
  • Pilot Potpourri: Neat Aeronautical Information (2.5 Hrs)

Aspiring aviators are encouraged to enroll in ground school before flight training begins because doing so creates a strong foundation upon which knowledge is built when the time comes to get into the airplane. This course may even be completed before selecting a Kodiak flight school to work with, as the completion endorsement will be valid at every training and testing center in the US!

Looking for a Bethel Alaska Private Pilot Ground School? Look no further.

We've partnered with Rod Machado, one of the world's most well-known flight instructors, to offer an interactive online private pilot ground school!  The advantages of this ground school are numerous:
  • This course is extremely affordable compared to other ground school courses
  • Learn from the comfort of your own home in Bethel Alaska! No need to worry about blizzards or commuting to a classroom in Bethel. This also satisfies any COVID-related social distancing guidance.
  • Learn at your own pace, anytime of day or night, from anywhere in the world (not just Bethel!), and re-visit topics that are still troubling you. Ultimate convenience!
  • 40+ hours of Interactive video lessons covering everything from aircraft systems to weather to regulations, and everything in between.
  • The course currently includes complimentary downloads of 4 of Rod Machado's Private Pilot ebooks
  • Receive your FAA written knowledge test endorsement upon completion! This is an endorsement that is required in order for you to take the written knowledge test. This course will provide you with the endorsement.
  • This course is available to you for life, and will always be updated with the most up-to-date information. Great for review!

Our Bethel Alaska private pilot ground school course is highly animated, interactive, and is one of the most comprehensive, private pilot ground training programs on the market today.

Here is the real kicker, and why this particular Bethel Alaska private pilot ground school course is recommended: Most ground school courses focus solely on preparing you to pass the written knowledge exam only, similar to those SAT or ACT-prep courses used by high school students to pass a standardized test. The knowledge you gain from most other ground school courses is is to be applied to answering a 60-question multiple choice test, but its not very practical or usable knowledge. This Bethel Alaska private pilot ground school course is different: it provides an all-encompassing, fully comprehensive ground school that will not only prepare you to pass the written knowledge test, but it will help you LEARN material that you will actually use in the cockpit. This can replace, or at least minimize those expensive, $50 per hour ground sessions with your CFI, saving you money that you can then use to actually fly.
